The earlier visited Ferruginous Duck in Tegelen proved to be an escaped specimen and no pure race. A new report of a Ferruginous Duck in Flevoland made us decide to make a visit to Flevoland. Also a visit to the Sallandse Heuvelrug was on the day program.

A Day in the province of Zeeland

The plans for Saturday were all week in favor of the province of Zeeland. The Greater Yellowlegs I needed for the month list and a reported Baikal Teal Friday was an additional motivation.

Eurasian Black Grouse at the Sallandse Heuvelrug

A second attempt this year for the Eurasian Black Grouse followed by a visit to Flevoland. Jan Verhoeven and I left at 7:30 from Uden and drove directly to the Sallandse Heuvelrug where we will meet Alwin.

Corn Buntings in Zeeuws Flanders
- Details
With a well-filled yearlist it seemed the best option for a visit to Zeeuws Flanders. Here a Snow Goose and Corn Buntings were reported last week. At 7 o'clock in the morning Alwin Was at my door and together we picked up Koen Rovers, Luuk Wassenberg and Jan Verhoeven.

Ferruginous Duck in Tegelen

It is quiet in Birding Holland and the best option for today appeared in a Ferruginous Duck at Tegelen and then a search for a Short-eared Owl in Keent.

Bufflehead and House Crows

After some research on the internet it seemed the best option today for a tour for the Bufflehead and the House Crows. We could visit the Lesser White-fronted Geese near Strijen and then head towards the province of Zeeland.

Black-throated Diver in Rhederlaag

For today the Sallandse Heuvelrug was on the program. Goal were the Eurasian Black Grouse for the yearlist and because I missed them on the monthly list we have this beautiful combination.

Visit to Limburg
- Details
A new yearlist and of course that includes a visit to Limburg. About 8 o’clock we met Alwin and Christian in a parking place at the A50 just passed Eindhoven. First objective was the Enci Quarry at the St Pietersberg in Maastricht.
